Music Engraving
Music Engraving is the art of transferring hand written music into a form that can be used in print or on the web. You may hear it referred to as “Music Processing”, but we prefer the older term “Engraving” if only to separate ourselves from the legions of musicians who rely almost exclusively on the default templates and settings of the software they choose to use, which more often than not comes pre-configured for ease of use of the operator rather than optimal results for the publisher.
Composition & Audio
Advances in technology and manufacturing, combined with falling costs associated with international trade and shipping have resulted in many tuition books being supplied with a cover-mounted CD or DVD these days. Whether it’s backing tracks or musical examples played at different speeds, someone has to plan, write, record and produce the audio.
We couldn’t claim to be a complete music publishing solution without being able to offer audio. Rather than blather on about what we can do, we think it’s probably better if you listen to some examples of music that was written, performed and recorded by Digital Music Art:
